Low Carbon Zones

I just heard about the Mayors plans for 10 low carbon zones in london and thought it might be something Peckham Power could get involved with perhaps??

On May 1 the Mayor pledged £3 million to develop up to 10 Low Carbon Zones in London. London boroughs are invited to apply for funding to support a local area, with a consortium of partners that are committed to delivering significant carbon savings and sustainable communities.   Further info. http://www.london.gov.uk/mayor/publications/2009/05/low-carbon-zones.jsp

 Hi Pat!

Many thanks for the post.  You're absolutely right - the Low Carbon Zone scheme sounds very interesting and is something that Peckham Power is actively persuing.  I haven't personally been present at the meetings so I don't know the details but Anna has definitely been making some great progress with the LCZ.

More info soon, hopefully...

Thanks,

Jack

Peckham was successful in getting a Low Carbon Zone and Peckham Power is one of the partner organisations!  More info here: http://www.london.gov.uk/lowcarbonzones/boroughs/southwark.jsp
