Is anyone going to the Sustainable Communities Act meeting on Wed 15th April?

Dear All,

Does anyone have time to go to the "Sustainable Communities Act" meeting in Peckham on Wednesday 15th?  I was planning to go but it's looking like I will have to work on Wednesday night.  Can anyone else go???  Please let me know because if no one else can go then I may just about be able to squeeze the SCA meeting into my Wednesday evening but frankly it's unlikely.

Here are the details:

Hi fellow residents

The Sustainable Communities Act is potentially a remarkable piece of legislation. It provides a valuable opportunity for citizens and councils to make proposals to the government which they consider would encourage the improvement of the economic, social or environmental well-being of local areas. It is an Act that could empower citizens and should give effect to argument that: 'citizens and councils are the experts on their own problems and the solutions to them'.

Southwark Council has opted into the Sustainable Communities Act, and now has to put forward proposals for the government to consider.

But what exactly does the Act mean for Southwark, what is the process for submitting proposals and what sort of proposals fit the criteria?
